WordPress 3.3

WordPress has released a major upgrade to version 3.3. Any site running WordPress should be updated immediately by downloading the current version and following the upgrade instructions or automatically upgrading from the Updates page of your dashboard.

New features include a drag-and-drop uploader, hover menus for navigation, a new toolbar, improved co-editing support, and a Tumblr importer. In addition, the postname permalink structure can now be used without a performance penalty.

Thanksgiving 2011 Holiday Hours

We will be closed Thursday, November 24th for Thanksgiving and will have limited online support (no phone support) on Friday, November 25th.

All web hosting orders placed after Wednesday, November 23rd will be processed on Monday, November 28th.

TimThumb.php Critical Security Update

A critical security flaw was recently found in the timthumb.php image resizing script. This script is used in many WordPress themes and plugins and if left unpatched could allow malicious code to be inserted into a site. To fix this, contact your theme developer for an updated version, or you can replace the timthumb.php script with a new version yourself. See here for more details on this issue. A plugin is also available that can help you determine if your WordPress site is vulnerable to the TimThumb exploit.

Cloud Sites Degraded

There is currently a cloud sites degradation that our upstream provider Rackspace is investigating which is effecting some domains that we host:

We will update this post with further information or changes in this status.

UPDATE 2:29PM PST: The issue has been resolved. There may be some residual issues so you can try clearing your browser cache if you are still returning an error message in place of your website.
